So I been looking for a plasma cutter for cams anyone know of any plasma out in the market that are great but affordable?

I got a Hypertherm powermax 30 made right here in the good ol USA. Nice hobby, small shop unit. Nice and easy to use. Plugs into 115V wall outlet. I just cut some 1/4" mild steel with it last night. Do your research there's are a lot of "not so good" plasma cutters out there.

I also have the Hypertherm Powermax 30. It's a badass little rig that will run on 110VAC 20 amp, or 220VAC 30 amp. Love it. It's essentially the same unit as the compact Miller unit.

I've got a Miller Spectrum 375 and it's great.
It can switch from 110v to 220v with a simple flip of a switch. I bought a Miller mainly because Miller has dealers everywhere, so any issues, it's just a trip to the local weld supply.
One word of advise; these things suck up amps. Check the service in your garage to see if you can handle it and your compressor at the same time.
In 110v mode mine needs a full 30a. I recently added a receptacle and use it 220 now.

Another vote for the hypertherm powermax30. I should have bought one a long time ago. Really a great machine. The new powermax has a smaller torch head, which is great for cutting up against corners or in tight spots.

Miller, spectrum 2050 will do just great. Mine cuts 1" plate with no problem.

He has it right, The 110 can only put out 20 amps and the 220 can put out 30 amps. Its not the breaker load. 220 breaker is 20 and 110 is 30.

the hypertherm powermax30 seems not to have a compressor built in it i was wanting a compressor built in it but very affortable.

A buddy of mine bought a Chinese made plasma cutter and has been cutting all kinds of things with it, including spindles of a chevelle... for $300. It works great and for that kind of dough you cant go wrong. Came with a bunch of tips and they sell packages of tips for a decent price. We have Miller at work and it's o.k., but seems to be more finicky than my buddies GiantTech. Go figure! Here's an ebay link...

i have a hobalt welder so i was looking and they are hobalt plasma cutters as well the welder hasnt gave me any problem so i figure maybe i could just get the hobalt plasma cutter. it sales at northern tools for like 700 or so but i have also heard about that giant tech plasma its caught my eye as well.
