Turning radius

So I just completed a disk brake conversion of my '67 C20 using the parts off of a '72 C20.

I would swear the turning radius has increased a couple feet. Is it my imagination?

Some spindles have stops that prevent turning too far, perhaps the drum brake spindles don't have near the turning radius of Disc brake spindles, I noticed on my drop disc brake spindles, they actually have no stops., I actually had to trim my lower control arms because they were grinding on the inside edge of the rim/head.

yes the steering stops are differnt on the lca's.

but it really dosent matter the later yr. ones still work fine.

check that your inner tie rods/studs are pointing towards the front bumper.
its way too easy too flip the steering center link/rod around after redoing the suspention and have this steering problem.

I did the same thing early on with rebuilding the chassis on mine, the drag link was swapped end for end. Put my tie rods way to close to the frame and would have interfered with the travel. Great point you just made, also, the "Idler arm could be turned around just as easily.
