WTB: OEM/NOS Woodgrain Interior

I am looking for an entire matching set of wood grain interior pieces. Door panel inserts, glove box and dash bezel with restored or new gauges. Willing to pay top money for right pieces.

Try VA72C10. He was selling a real nice package deal not to long ago. Not sure if it sold or not but here is the link, I think. Good luck with your search.

It took me a few years to put a good set of Woodgrain interior items together. I found a set NOS Wood grain door inserts. Purchased them and got to looking at them real close. One is a little darker than the other. I've been told the GMC wood panels is a liitle darker than Chevy. So in your hunt, be aware of some of these small details. I've bought and sold many items to get a close match.

Re: WTB: OEM/NOS Woodgrain Interior

After reading what D.Passmore had too say, it got me thinking. Maybe I should ask if anyone can restore interior pieces? Right now I have a early 80s NOS wood grain bezel with good clean gauges that work, but I want to add a tach tin and a new circuit panel, maybe a clock? I also have a Cheyenne Super glove box door in great shape painted too match my interior. And last but not least, Cheyenne door panels and inserts. You can see from my interior photo I am dealing with several, I guess "patina parts". I was looking to buy something that would all match and be newly restored and sell these at a later date.

Re: WTB: OEM/NOS Woodgrain Interior

One thing to consider in your hunt is this: If going for NOS, you will still see a difference between the NOS dash woodgrain and and the glovebox/door inserts. The reason being is that the glovebox and door inserts are printed, painted, or etched (not sure which) onto a metal surface, wheras the the dash cluster bezel is an overlay like the side moulding. I think that D.PASSMORE's method is best...buy the parts until you have that perfect combination, unless of course you find a complete set made to match. You might try looking up CheyenneSuperMan. He may have what you seek.

Re: WTB: OEM/NOS Woodgrain Interior

I have some NOS dash bezels put away and am fairly sure that one of them is a NOS in the box 71/2 cheyenne super/sierra grande 7 hole woodgrain dash bezel, will have a look later today. Could also probably part with a couple of matching NOS with or w/o tach instrument lenses and a couple of NOS with or w/o tach printed gauge circuits if interested. Mel

I would be interested in the 71/72 Super bezel for sure. I am thinking about doing what D. Passmore said, buy and sell until I find matching pieces.

If I buy the bezel I will also need the tach instrument lense and tach printed gauge circuit.

Here are some pictures of the NOS dash parts that I mentioned having in above post #11, Price would be $400. for the three NOS pieces as a combined purchase deal and I would need your ship to zip to figure the fedex ground insured shipping cost. Mel

That is a good deal that Mel has offered you. I bought a NOS circuit board awhile back for a dash that I restored for Burb71 and I want to say it was north of $100.00. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=453650

Safely packaged insured fedex ground shipping is going to run $30. on the three pieces to Phoenix Zip 85029. Mel

Please Read: To those that have pm'ed about the NOS woodgrain bezel, it is the only one that I have and until landsurvey1 passes it is unavailable. I do however have some extra GM NOS tach & non tach lenses and printed circuits.

Yes, I feel the same on the price. At the time of GM removal/discontinued status these three parts combined were over three big one's, the woodgrain bezel alone cost us $225. back in 2003 and the last counter price my GM guy could find on the GM printed tach circuits was $140. and $115. on the GM tach lenses. Re: WTB: OEM/NOS Woodgrain Interior

Quick Question: I was noticing the silver around the bezel is more matte than most, is the matte chrome what was original or the higher gloss chrome?

Cheers,

This one has been a debated topic quite a bit over the years, I have owned more than my share of original 71/2 cheyenne supers & sierra grandes and in "my opinion" when they left the factory new they had a chrome edged woodgrain dash bezel. A few years ago, the Guru's on here concluded that in the early 80's the GM/AC woodgrain replacement bezels were made with the painted silver edge and no longer chrome, bezel was sold under the same p/n so you wouldn't know until you opened it up and checked. The one pictured above has a shipment date of 6/82 on the box, I had one other silver edged woodgrain bezel that went to Canada and that box was dated 3/77. Mel

Re: WTB: OEM/NOS Woodgrain Interior

Both 72 Supers I have owned had original chrome/woodgrain bezels. Every original I come across at the pick n pulls has chrome/woodgrain. I agree with Mel's post above.

Going to have to retract my above statement from post #19 and move on, as of today 1/28 it has already been five days since landsurvey1 said he was interested in these NOS parts and three days since he was given the above info with pictures and prices. Mel
