Just how do the new cab bushings go?

So here is my current quandary: just how do the new cab-to-frame bushings go? What came out FELL INTO DUST and I couldn't see exactly how it went. The set from Classic Heartbeat lacks instructional diagrams. Can anyone help me out here?

Pics of how I THINK it might go. Please help.

This is driver's side front and rear bushing. The rear one was pretty nice actually.

*Note: no frame members indicated now in how these are now assembled.

Is this how the radiator core support bushings go?

Is this how the rear bushings go?

Is this right for the front bushings?

Does a flat washer go on top of the upper bushing? *So the top of the upper bushing doesn't contact the truck frame itself?

I know the original front bolt head rode directly on the cab floor....is there supposed to be a washer in between the cab floor and the bolt head?

What do all these pieces do?
Why the two different sizes of sleeves?

This is all from the Classic Heartbeat kit from Wes.

Check out Bruce88's build thread - the whole thread is worth the time to review. In particular post #446 on the cab bushings--

You should buy the factory assembly manual. Your time spent with your truck will be less of an exercise in puzzle solving if you do.. Here are the drawings for Rad support & Cab mounts.

Oh that's great!

Only thing is, I didn't get any square washers like in the pic in my kit. :-(

Those square things aren't washers...they are the shims used to level the cab front to back and side to side. Bolts washers and shim kit 16.95 from GMC Paul.

Those square things are the shims you will need to level the cab side to side and front to back. Avaliable from GMC Paul $16.95.

Re: Just how do the new cab bushings go?

Tho's square shims are very similar to the large washers used on pier blocks with the screw jacks, i have a couple at home, they came from ether Home depot or Lowes. I haven't compared then side by side though.

Ya learn something every day, I may back up and get that shim kit sometime and redo my mounts.

Ever wonder why a newly redone truck seems to "lean'? That's why. The PO on my truck used the oversized washers that carprnters use to bolt sill plates to a slab of concrete. The shims the factory used are hardened steel to resist chafing, definitely not your garden variety material but the shims used with screw jacks are made of the same stuff. Good Call!
