My burb stayed inside today

Everybody wanted to take my '70 over to Madison, IN today. We watched the forecast and I said no way, in fact we're staying home. A couple of these bounced off my '79 pickup, which sits outside all the time. A little more patina....

Holy crap! We never see anything remotely close to that here! We don't even get marble sized hail!

Re: My burb stayed inside today

I'd never seen anything like it either. But it was obviously an exceptional day in this region, and not in a good way. I only ended up with a big dent in the roof above the passenger door of my Camper Special. Alot of people had it way worse. I'll take being lucky over being smart or skilled any day.

LUCKY, LUCKY, LUCKY, we had a major hail storm like that last year. A friend of mine had several vehicles written off due to hail damage.

My mom always had the best advice. It was just a tad late. After a fall that involved blood, she'd say....."Careful!"

Re: My burb stayed inside today

Those are huge. We had a similar storm probably 8 years ago here, it sounded like a train was coming and then they hit. I took one in the back and my truck took a couple. My dog was chasing them around, he was lucky he didn't get hit. A little girl took one to the arm and it broke her arm. That stuff can do a ton of damage.
