Nice Bench seat.

I have a nice bench seat, that came out of a 71 C10. It has been recovered. The upholstery is in good shape, I would say 8/10. There are no rips or tears. $125.

Probably more than if you drove here to pick it up. Honestly, I don't know anything about shipping something this big.

Re: Nice Bench seat.

I am interested, just need to find a way to get it here If you are willing to wrap the seat in plastic, seal the plastic with clear tape, and deliver the seat to your local Greyhound Bus terminal, they will ship this seat. Let me know if you are willing. BTW, do you have the mounting hardware for this seat?

I do not have the mounting hardware/slider for this seat. I pulled it off in order to put it onto another, worse shape bench seat I had to recover for another project. This seat was way too good to rip the cover off and recover since the red/black doesn't match our color scheme so I found a junkyard seat that was missing it's brackets.

If you are still interested I might could work out something like that. I've heard of people shipping Greyhound, but have never done it, heck I don't even know where a terminal is, never seen one. I looked up on their website and the closest one that offers shipping is just a little under an hour from me. Looks like shipping from the Salisbury terminal to Fredericksburg is about $95, and I don't have any plastic wrap, just looked at Staples, and the cheapest roll of stretch plastic wrap they have is $27. It's looking like around $250 to get the seat to you. (BTW Shipping quote was going off their shipping calculator and me guessing 60" long and 75lbs, I haven't actually measured it or weighed it to be sure)

I can really use the seat cover. Are you willing to remove and ship the seat cover for $75 shipped. The cover matches up well with my Red on Black 72 C-10. Optionally, we could swap seat covers as mine is a really nice Tan Velour bench seat cover. My cloth velour material looks much like your seat, just a different color.

Send me a pic of the tan velour cover, I might could make that work for one of our trucks.

Ok, checked out how to remove my seat cover today. It is more effort than I originally thought. All things considered, I am going to pass on the seat. Best of luck finding someone closer to you. Thanks for all things considered.

Re: Nice Bench seat.

Did you get the truck this seat came out of from a guy named Tony? I swear that has got to be the same seat I took out of my 69 last year and gave to him.

I don't recall the guy's name, he was from South Dakota, but living in Concord, he had an accent, you could tell he was from up north. He blew the motor in the truck and lost his job, didn't want to haul the truck back up to SD, so I bought it for parts.
