2 Barrel Hei Guys

I have converted my 67 over to hei. The truck looks to have the factory intake and 2-barrel carb. Where can i hook up the vac advance hose? I am trying to get away from having to put my rpm and holley 600 on it due to wanting better gas mileage.

The carb from what i can see only has 1 port and its full vacuum. There is a threaded port on the back of the carb but thats for power brakes. And there is a port on the intake for the tranny. What should i do?

Here is where I've run mine. This isn't the greatest picture, but you get the general idea. There is a metal 3/8" line that threads into the carb. for vacuum. Not sure if this is "full port", but it's worked flawlessly for me.

Re: 2 Barrel Hei Guys

Isnt the "carb vac/manifold vac" decision more of a performance tuning deal? Ive had a ton of old vehicles where I did the "find a vac outlet & hook it up" trick with no issues at all. I read these post & wonder if some of these guys are losing sleep over nothing...
