Re: 6 inch rear drop?
depends. I'd think for sufficient axle travel, you'll more than likely need a "c" notch for a drop larger than 4".

Re: 6 inch rear drop?
NOtch it Mine is 7 inches and with out the notch the axel would be resting on the frame. Surely you want more than an inch of travel

Re: 6 inch rear drop?
I think it depends on the truck, a short bed is lighter so it compresses the springs less than a longbed, when I put 6'' drop springs in the back of my panel the axle was on the bumpstops so i c-notched it.

Re: 6 inch rear drop?
The blocks go between the axle housing and control arm.
If you go with a 4in drop or greater, I would suggest a super track bar and the shock relocators. These are pretty much, Must Have items when properly dropping a truck. As the rear of the truck gets lower, the rear tends to shift to the side. The track bar will help to correct that issue. The stock shocks will lay too flat in the factory position, that's why you will need to relocate the shock mounts. There are many vendors that supply these items. I use ECE(Early Classic Enterprise)for most items. |

Re: 6 inch rear drop?
Wheel and Tire choice makes a huge diffy. I got 20/22's on my
Blazer frame with a 5/7 drop and it doesn't look as low as it did when I had the 17's on it 2 weeks ago. (It's just rolling chassis)
