Commencing Roadtrip

Saturday I will be leaving for South Carolina. Heading down to see my daughter graduate from Army Basic Training at Fort Jackson. I don't have a trailer, but the Suburban gets better gas mileage towing something, so if you have one and need something hauled, contact me asap. I am leaving here and heading to Nebraska(Lincoln area), then down to Kansas, across to Mo(home). We'll head south to South Carolina then for 2 or 3 days down there and then head back up to Mo. I'll be there for about a week, then straight back to WA by about the quickest route. I can't remember the town we are going to in Kansas but its where the prison is. My brother in law will get a visit. I'm from Springfield, Mo area and thats where we will spend about a week. Like I say, I don't have a trailer, but if you do and need something towed, I'd be happy to do it, just kick in some gas money. Later, Jeff.

Sounds like an excellent opportunity for anyone looking at those big parts on the other side of the country.

Roadtrip??? From Washington, to South Carolina and back, is one hella road trip, dude.

You gotta be proud of your girl. These are trying times for our military. My youngest (a son) is in northern California. We're headed west, but it won't be a road trip until he picks us up at Sac. Guess we'll getta tour of Travis AFB, and a car show on the 30th. Then, it's on to San Francisco and Alcatraz, the wine country, and Hiway 1/101.

Takin' the cameras (digital and film). Gotta new 256MB Compact Flash...worth 250+ piz at 2.0Mega Pixals. Oughta get some good detail in that quality, huh?

Enjoy the drive. Be safe and be proud of your daughter!!

Ya, I tried to talk her into the Air Force or even the Navy, but she was dead set on the Army. We are all so proud of how well she has done. Especially for a kid thats away from home for the first time. Being military ourselves, road trips are nothing new so we'll have a good time either way. Good trip yourself and tell your son thanks for keeping us safe. Jeff.
