"Aired-Out" pics of the '68. Better later

than never... I guess. Remember, this truck has drums all around. Rear is on the axle housing and the front is as low as possible with drums. Notice how much the driver's side wheel sticks out when sitting on the axle.

The color is GM Dark Blue for '68. It is the original

color of the truck. The truck is bagged but there is no c-notch or drop spindles. The truck has drums all-around. It is NOT driveable as it sits in the pics.

I'm seriously contemplating going to discs up front with some drop spindles so I can have a nice DRIVEABLE stance, but I'm not sure of how much a PITA it would be. Does a disc conversion for the front need a new master cylinder? Let me know. Thanks for the kind words.

i'm going to be in the same boat as you soon enough. I was thinking about bagging the ass-end of my truck just for ****s n giggles, but I haven't gotten there. i mean, the reality is...i just need two bags and some valves, and a way to air them up...and voila, my back-end is lowered. then i can throw spindles and discs on the front. i won't be able to adjust until i buy compressors, but that's totally fine with me for a temporary solution, just riding around town.

I adjust my ride height often. As of now...

I have four schrader valves mounted on the last frame crossmember. I have a portable compressor in my garage that I use to fill the bags.

I fill them completely (without over filling) and simply, slowly release the air through the valve until I get the stance and ride I want. Remember, the less air in the bag, the "bouncier" you ride will be.

My set up is from Air-Ride Tech. and are "suppose to" lower your truck 3"F/5"R at optimum air pressure. IMO, Air-Ride's idea of 3/5 aint quite enough for my taste. THAT is the reason I'm thinking of going with the discs and spindles up front.

Looks great!

Get the back half centered and you're set. You can run discs with the M/C you have now, just get a different prop valve. I got the prop valve and all the various lines/fittings for about $80.

notch that rear and do 2.5" spindles in the front. ECE and CPP both sell great disc brake swap kits where you can choose your spindle height, kills two birds w/one stone. i think they average around $650 for the disc swap kit, and it's another $100 probably for the notch (not incl. labor)

If you have the ECE panhard bar you can adjust your rear end back to center. The best thing is to set it to your ride height and center it from there.

15 bucks? For the master cylinder, rotor, the calipers and everything? that sounds a little unbelieveable...
