Window channel

Anyone know what the approximate location the window should sit in the window channel? Unfortunately, the old marks were wiped clean off the window. In other words, what is the distance from the front of the window to edge of channel Or back of window to edge of the back section of the channel. I could sure use some help guys. Thanks in advance

Are your windows binding going up and down? If not your good. the amount of insertion on each side is not important. Just make sure your window guides are fully seated and you should be good to go.

Sorry for the senior moment there. Here are some pics of my 67 passenger window. All measurements are from the back of the window. Hope it helps.

Did not know the 67 had two separate connections as opposed to a long channel used on later years. If you just center the lower channel it should have about 3/4" on both sides and will work fine. Allows clearance to window channel felts. Assembling mine right now in my 72. Passenger side works great even with power window regulators.

They don't. '67-'72 is a one piece channel. Those pictures are from a different vehicle.

Thanks for pointing that out LockDoc. I went and doubled checked and I had put an old Explorer window in my C10 pile of stuff. Found the passenger door glass buried behind the bench seat and a couple steering columns. Guess its time to do some heavy duty cleaning in my parts shed.

PS: The channel on my passenger window started just after the front radius of the door glass.

No problem. Glad you found the right one. I need to do some cleaning too. It looks like a whirlwind went through my shop.
