Another fairly decent but small window cab about 300 miles closer.

My ongoing truck projects: 48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six. 71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant. 77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around. |

Repair it now and be done with it!
It's the first thing that will raise it's ugly head after completion of your project. There are a lot of vendors out there to choose from I have had good luck with LMC Truck! Not affiliated just happy with the service and the company! just my .02

Do it right and do it once is a good mantra, but not everyone is going to have the time, space, money and ability to get to 'fully restored'.
I'd rather see more 70 year old trucks made safe and back on the road being enjoyed even with rusty cab corners and fenders and less stalled projects being sold by people that gave up. |
