1967 Short Fleet 4X4 1 of 1,046!!
Well, here is my recent wekend addiction, it is now running and driving under its own power. It is a 67 4X4 with 3/4 ton axles, built 350/4-speed/205. It will be up for sale soon after I finish the little stuff I have my eye on a 2wd Blazer so all the other obsessions must go to make room. In the picts, you'll notice the driver's door doesn't match (one of those things I need to finish up!) I have a nice door with no filler in it like the one on it. It has a 4"lift and runs nice!! I also have the cowl, just haven't gotten to it!! I got this thing a few years ago and it was a cab and bed, not much else!! I built a motor for it, gathered the tran/x-fer, and the 68 front clip, and a feww hundred hours of my labor!!

Yeah, I just wanted to get it running and driving and let the buyer finish it up to their ideal.

I won't tell if you don't!! The hard stuff is done. The paint under the white is original so a scuff, some primer and paint it your favorite color!!

Re: 1967 Short Fleet 4X4 1 of 1,054!!
Actually its a 1 in 1046 (according to a list of production numbers for 67-72 4wds) if it was a fleetside originally ...but then again it isnt stock and that dont bother me! I'd take a 67 short k10 with 3/4 ton axles. It just needs a dana 60 upgrade in front, some bigger tires and your set.Does it have manual steering on it? Does it have a newer cab on it? I noticed it wasnt a small back window..

What a pile, I'll give you $200 for it
Seriously, that's nice, but will most likely be out of my price range, as in, I've blown way too much on my 67 to even think about buying another one I would love to have 'er.

This isn't a for sale thread, (not yet!) When I finish it up I'll post a thread in the classifieds. Thanks for the interest, I just wanted to show off the toy Brad mentioned in his thread, about his visit up here. |

Re: 1967 Short Fleet 4X4 1 of 1,054!!
You guys and your rust free western trucks are making me sick, Hell I could probably finish a truck a month if I didnt spend all my time repairing rust
Ive kicking around the idea of turning my 70 GMC shortbox into a 3/4 4x4. I have all the parts, just missing the ambition part.

Re: 1967 Short Fleet 4X4 1 of 1,054!!
Well, I have sold no less than 8 vehicles to you rust belt guys. Just buy a plane ticket and fly out and drive it home!! jorgensensc was the last member to fly in and drive home, he was heading to Houston, TX, not even a hickup. Before that a guy from the great white north (4 hrs north of Detroit) flew in and drove a K5 home. Seriously for what you guys spend ($$$ and labor) you could come here and get a huge headstart!! The K5 and the 67 short step in my siggy are near spotless, interested?!

Re: 1967 Short Fleet 4X4 1 of 1,054!!
I'll be on the road for the next three weeks, so it'll be August before I finish the little stuff I want to get done, then I post a thread in the classified. The others I mentioned are ready to go as they sit or I'll finish a few things once the truck is gone.

Re: 1967 Short Fleet 4X4 1 of 1,054!!
On a side note. I have the 67 short step 2wd in my siggy, it has drums (OBVIOUSLY). The thought is that I have a dana 60 rear (8-lug) and the front suspension (8-lug) but with discs. Would you guys dig on a 1/2 ton 2wd truck with 3/4 ton 2wd suspension in order to get disc brakes? The rear is a truck arm type rear, not a leaf, so it would all literally bolt on? There are some nice 8-lug wheels out there, what do you think!?
