Water pump question.

Does anyone know if the L92/vvt style water pump will bolt on to a 2005 Lq9? I've heard you need the idler to make it work?

Re: Water pump question.

I know the L92 water pump will bolt to a LQ9 because that is one of the ways people have gotten a car intake and a larger TB to work. I will see if I can find that info again to post it. Just to make sure I am not nuts

Yes the water pump will bolt right up. Now as far as the idler goes, that has nothing to do with bolting the water pump to the engine. There are a couple different idlers going through all the years, some are 2 bolt idlers and some are three bolt.
