oddball waterpump outlet location
I installed an LSSimple accessory drive on my 6.0 swap, and in order to run their AC mount, it was suggested to install a 2012ish Camaro water pump which positions the outlet as shown in the photo. Anyone on here have this setup with a radiator inlet in the stock location (drivers side) and what hose set up did you go with. Thanks,

Re: oddball waterpump outlet location
Not a truck swap but on my 73 LS3 swap I used "stock" style aluminum radiator. I struggled to find upper hose that fit. I ended up using two hoses and a splice. The splice also had a NPT opening for the head vent line.
I got splice from "Jaguars that run". Lower hose I got from Oreillys by looking thru the selection in the back room. Pic of the 73 upper hose. |

Re: oddball waterpump outlet location
You can use the gates powergrip clamps (like heatshrink) instead of hose clamps to give it a cleaner look... ive got mine mocked up with hose clamps..but am using these once I get it all squared away..

Re: oddball waterpump outlet location
I came across this image, which shows what looks to be exactly what I'm wanting to do. Just got to find that hose.

Re: oddball waterpump outlet location
Looking at the ECM maybe a Gen1 LS? Maybe a 6.0 in a 3/4 ton pick up. Or maybe a Denali? Or 6.0 in Escalade?

Re: oddball waterpump outlet location
I believe that’s a Gates 24342 Premium Molded Coolant Hose. That’s what the square body guys use with the ls3 water pump. Idk if that’ll be a direct bolt on with th 67-72 though

This is one I’ve come across. Won’t know if it will work until chassis is back together.
