Post any 2WD blazers ?

About 2 year ago I spent about 6 months looking for a blazer.I found one in naples Fl.(2hrs away from me) for $2900 with a pearl white paint job and very little rust and no major problems. I have a 1982 2WD silverado blazer. It now has 189,734 miles on the truck and 20,000 on the motor. My plans for the past 2 years where to cutomize it 17"-18" rims new paint, phantom grill, cowl hood, billet everywhere,etc...Sooofar I have spent will over $3000. just keeping it running I've replaced the ring & pinion from 3.08 to 3.42 (old one shot bolt out)new power steering pump & pully, new 625 road demon carb,3"flowmasters,monster tach, rebuilt 700-R4(blew up 4 times!!),shocks, tires, starter, batt.,rear drums, ball joint, and the list goes on. At times I just don't want to look at it and just sell it ! But once you get behind the wheel you remember why you love it so much and you would never sell it.I would like to read other stories or see pic of other trucks or blazers from the 70s-90s I hope I'm not the only one with a unfinished blazer.

If anyone wants to see the Jimmy with the 17" welds I will have the page updated sometime this week and I will post the link again when I get it done.

Where did I say '75? I am lost. The Blazer is a '78 model. Currently looking for a non-integrated head inline6 for it. Preferably a 292.

Mine is a 71 2wd Jimmy. I always wanted one and have always regretted not getting a particular one when I was in high school. Anyway I saw one advertised in the truck trader and knew that if I didn't go that day it would be gone. I was married at the time and my wife was haveing a very difficult pregnancy so I wouldn't let her get to far from the hospital. I did let her make the trip with me that day though. Her water broke while we were looking at the jimmy......I just wrote the guy a check, told him I would be in touch in a few days and we left. I sure was hopeing he was a honest guy. Unfourtantly I picked the truck better than the wife. My son loves to play in the Jimmy though!! Sometimes I wonder if I really need it and the answer is no, but I sure do like driveing it.
