What would be a good thermostat to run in a 1972 350 chevy?
My friend has a 350 Chevy in his 1972 C10 and is wondering what thermostat would be good to put in it? His truck does not have AC if that makes a difference.

I'd go with a good 180, preferrably the Robert Shaw/Mr Gasket hi-flow version.

I was thinking that too. Also, the heater/defroster works better with a 195.

I went with a RockAuto Gates 180* stat
If everything in the cooking system is working well, you don’t need anything special in the thermostat department. Good luck

I don't get what you're comment means. If everything is working well, why did you go to a 180 instead of what it is designed to use? It's engineered to run a 195, truck runs great like that. |
