tire patch
Is it possible to successfully patch the sidewall of a 33" goodyear?
I have some brand new with about a 1" slit (knife cut I think) in the sidewall. If not for road use, how about for a field beater?

THEY DO WHAT THEY CALL VULCANIZING AROUND HERE, PATCH
IT FROM THE INSIDE, MAYBE IT WILL WORK, NOT SURE TRUCKS.

I would not attempt it. Too much sidewall on a 33. You are asking for trouble. (imo)

Call a place that does a lot of HD truck tires on semis or earthmoving equipment. It may be possible to do a "section" repair on the tire. It probably won't be cost effective, but at least you can decide for yourself. Short of having it repaired this way, just throw it away. If some patch job lets go while you're filling it, it'll probably kick your ass at a minimum. Having a 33 let go when driving (even off road) carries too big a risk of having to look at the world upside down.
I feel your pain. I had to throw away a 35 BFG MT with the nibs still on it. Actually, we burned it at a sledding party to get something out of it at least!
