Replating Outer Grill
I've got a small but nasty ding in my 70 outer grill. Is it cost effective to have it repaired and re-plated? Or is that metal too thin for that to be practical.
I know I can buy a replacement, but would like to know. Bradleyworld |

replating is pretty much obsolete with the lower priced replacements on the market.

It would cost more to replate than to replace. A friend of mine has a chrome shop and if you can get a part aftermarket, 9 times out of 10 it will be cheaper than restoring an old part.
