i forgot the pics....i promise to post some on sunday

i have encountered another problem on the blazer, this problem existed before the swap though, i need to install an o2 sensor in the drivers side header...... the old one was a one wire nonheated sensor.....sense the new one will be clear down by the collector (full length headers) it really should be heated.......the question is this....how do i wire up a heated o2 sensor where there was not one to begin with?

just a question... was the truck an automatic? if so, is the transmission tunnel going to be the right hight? i thought the 2wd auto cabs had a different tunnel... maybe im wrong

yes it was an automatic, and the tunnel is not goin to matter as plans include a body lift.

Gee, man. That sucks.

I will say that all that effort you've put out is making me feel better about obsessing about a small amount of rust on the inside bottom lip of my rear doors. If you can do all that work in your spare time, I'll surely be able to getting around to fixing mine up.

Of course, I need to finish unpacking here at the new house first!

Stay safe and Godspeed to you and your family.

got power at the house finally....still no cable, therefore no internet, which means no pics yet....the pick-up only ended up with a cracked windshield and a bent steering column.....front clip damage is not to bad at all, got a crease in the front of the pass fender, bent on driver's rear, and the grille is cracked.......finally got the blazer running...and the saga continues.....as i said i got the blazer running(thurs evening)....topped of the trans, the radiator, and adjusted the timing....assembled and installed the front clip (fri afternoon), started it up to pull it out of the car port so i could wash it prior to going to the exhaust shop, put it in reverse; felt it shift into gear, then it died.....i have not been able to get it started since...the worst part is cannot find anything wrong with it.....i got spark (weak), fuel, and air...it was timed perfect, everthing still set where i marked it......all my diagnotstics have led to coil failure....anyone have any other ideas?

i replaced the coil on the blazer, got a better spark, but it still wouldn't start...looked as though it was flooding itself out....i ended up calling the shop to come and get it so they could hook it up to their diagnostic machine.

Hey I gota say my hats off to you. I think your doing a great job working on the truck and showing us the photos. Thanks for keeping my days going through your posts . I feel like a kid standing at the fence where the construction site is full of heavy quipment roaring and moving dirt and all.

Hope your time frame permits a few long rides before your Jan 6 .

Have you gotten any sort of up date from them? I am going to guess that it is not a simple problem or you would have found it (based on the past 60 something posts it would appear that your not new at this). Do they have any idea what is going on?

only thing i have heard from the shop is that they have finally started to work on it.....due to the hurricane they have a back log, as most shops around here do, because they lost electricity for an extended period.....i know its not a simple problem, if it was i would be driving it now......i went through all the diagnostics i could with the means i have available to me, fixed the few problems i found to no avail....hopefully i will get an update from them early next week.... i just wish they would hurry up, my current dd needs brakes.
