Re: Truck Is Now Dropped!!

Thanks for the compliments guys, no build thread tonight. Was on my way home from work this afternoon and about "died" was coming around an "S" bend in the road, my tire caught the fender and basically bounced me into the other lane. THANK GOD there was no oncoming traffic it was very nerve racking. So I spent the better part of the night removing my inner fenders and returning some stuff. Good news now though, I can do a full turn at any slope with no wheel rub at all. Its so much better to drive now that I dont have to worry going around a corner...

Man that would have been scary! Glad to see your ok. What fender did it catch the outer or inner? Did you damage the tires/wheel?

Re: Truck Is Now Dropped!!

The tire caught on the drivers side inner fender, I have plent of clearence on the fender lip so I dont have to roll them. The tire and wheel are fine nothing happened to them. It rubbed on a pretty rounded section so it wasnt to bad. Just scared the **** outta me!

LoL, the seat will be replaced! Just not yet though haha

Muthstryker,
Very nice stance - ditto's on all of the raves.
Really like the wheels.
Can you comment on your backspacing?

No Problem,

Front Backspace = 4.5"
Rear Backspace = 5"

The backspacing on the wheels is perfect. They dont sit tucked in at all. The rear backspace is dead on. My 295 tire sits dead center in the rear.

I thought they only made the 20x10 backspacing in 5.5" (+2mm offset) and 6" (+14mm offset)?

Yes, Completely out... I dont drive the truck in the rain so they will be fine for now. However when I have the paint and body work done I will have some fenders made up out of trailer fenders.

Heres a picture from tonight, the new front end! will get a better one tomorrow.. PS garage is messy!

couple of my head lights are crooked.. I busted the plastic clips on the adjusters so now I have to find something at work for now or wait for the ones from LMC to get here.. Missing the spacers for the emblem as well, forgot to order them

Re: Truck Is Now Dropped!!

I am looking at static drops myself. Just out of curiousity, what made you decide to go with a spindle/spring setup in front over a control arm/ spring or control arm / spindle set up. I have been looking at the DJM 5/5 kit with control arms/springs in front and 5" flip in rear. I was planning to add a leveling shackle to get it down to 7" in rear. Just haven't decided which kit to pull the trigger on. I could use some input.

I wanted a C-notch, and none of the DJM kits I saw came with a C-notch for the same price I paid on the mcgaughys, another thing is with a spindle and control arm set up I wouldnt of been able to get the truck to sit just right, Another reason why I wanted the spring so I could trim it and get it to sit where I wanted it to. The reason I wanted a C-notch was because I knew I was going to come down 8"s in the back so the notch was kind of mandatory.
