Cooling zz502

I am putting in a 502 automatic trans with A/C this week and looking to get a radiator fan combo. Not sure what to get or which brand?

Re: Cooling zz502

I used a engineering cooling products radiator in my 67 camaro with a 383. Always had cooling problems before. Not now, it runs 160 all day. There made here in the usa in Chicago. Also fit like a glove. It's aluminum. Very reasonable

Thumbs up Re: Cooling zz502

Simple!
Get the biggest radiator fan setup you can find for the truck. You will want at least 2500CFM fan's if not more for a BB motor.
I bought a aluminum radiator off E bay and my fans never run except when I'm in traffic. If I get in my truck and get out on the road at speed they never come on. The temp stays right at 180*
I have the Camaro dual fan setup on mu 6.0 LS motor.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Cooling zz502

I had a BeCool crossflow aluminum unit that came with two SPAL fans and it laughed at the ZZ502 in my Camaro. Ran 180F all day. Now it runs an LS3 and never breaks thermostat set point. Very happy with it, and the construction must be decent, it's 8 years old and has been in and out and welded on 5-6 times I'm sure.

In fact with the LS3 the fans never come on unless I'm stopped at a light! And then only on low...
