Thanks for the pics, just as I suspected my aftermarket ones are junk.Notice glass frame is bent downward and check out the rubber to door gap.I cant believe they can sell this crap.
Anyone who rebuilds these? Im loosing my patience so Let me know,I think Ill have them fix my originals
Beware for all of you who even considered buying a set of these !

Just out of curiosity, does your vent window seal sit inside the door or rest/overlap on the door skin on the outside ? Its hard to tell in the pic.

Thanks,
Mr.Ed

I'll answer. It's tucked in ...or at least mine is. Fremont built 1966, unrestored.
I have other 60's Chevy cars and I think most are out on the door skin. Go figure.

Exactly what I was looking for.Hard to believe that they were engineered to run inside the door.
Guess Ill make sure those bottom door drains are constantly clear..., unless I need somewhere to keep my goldfish while cleaning their tank !

Thank you for the pic and info,I appreciate it.

Mr.Ed.

Re: Need 64-66 Drivers Vent window close up pics

Thank you,BR3W,s is a good detailed thread.I will strongly be considering the rebuild now.Im curious as to where the vertical replacement came from,I have had a hard time finding anything other than a replacement vertical track with the oem style felt already installed.
Cheers,
Ed.
