Charcoal Canister

Greetings to All,
I am wondering how many of you are still using the Charcoal Canister?
The previous owner had it disconnected with the exception of the vent line coming up from the frame. I am thinking that I would just reconnect it by "teeing" into the line that runs from the pcv valve and the carburetor.
Thoughts?
Thanks
