Post a photo of your truck in action.

Digging though my dad's old photos I found this shot of my 48 doing the Street Kana at the Vintiques NW Nationals back in the mid 80's.

That prompted the idea of starting a thread of photos of YOUR! truck in action somewhere. It can be what ever 47/59 you own or owned at the time but it has to be your truck and not shots of other guys trucks. Obviously taken by somone else works ok.

This was when I had the flatbed on it and the horrid sunroof.

The arm sticking out from behind the truck was a guy telling me to go that way.

77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

Re: Post a photo of your truck in action.

I think I will bring this idea for a Street Kana up at the next Vintique's board meeting. This year's rod run is our 50th anniversary

I thought that they were still running it, Insurance may be an issue though. They did have several car games out in the part of the lot where the Carnival rides set up during the fair.

Re: Post a photo of your truck in action.

Last year was my first year at a rod run & I dont remember any think like the street kana.
So far at this year's planning meetings there has been no mention of this.

Re: Post a photo of your truck in action.

does this count as action???
2011 Hot Rod Power Tour, we were coming out of Coco Beach FL heading to Valdosta GA. my co-pilot was taking pics of classics we passed, he'd take a rear 1/4 pic and a front 1/4 pic as we passed. We came up on a 55 TF who I knew from the bangshift forum, the 55 is driving 70mph and I was doing 80mph. my co-pilot happen to look down in the camera and saw TRUK in his baby moon.
it's one of my favorite pics of TRUK

It always cracks me up seeing pictures of your truck, we are brothers from another mother!

Re: Post a photo of your truck in action.

My truck doesn't really go "in action" anymore. It's retired like I am.

The 1955 owner drove it daily to his job at the old FORD plant in Pico Rivera, CA (now long gone) and stopped driving it in 1999 as he was too old to drive it according to the guy he sold it to....who had it for 6 months before selling it to me.

Original owner welded in a 1/8" plate over the bed wood (which caused it to rot eventually) but he apparently never used it to carry anything. It had ZERO dents in it and the one rust spot was a tiny amount in the front panel curl. The painter was shocked. He said he'd never seen a truly old truck with NO dents!

Anyway, this is an old shot of me taking my now gone little friend, Joey to the dog park. He was very devoted and a true friend and companion. He loved sticking his head out of the truck for "snout air". Rest in Paradise, Joe. I love you.
