front clip swap

well i know this has been asked many times before but i really need to clearify some things. i want to switch a front clip on a 85 k5 blazer to a 78 and would like two know what it involves. i know the basic bolt on stuff but what about the hood hinges and the cowl? i have heard you need to do something to the wipers and how do i change the hinges and cowl any info would be awesome. thanks

Re: front clip swap

the 78 nose requires you remove the cowl that the 85 uses. You will also need the wiper arms and linkage for the 78 and it will bolt up in the existing holes in the body.. you use the hinges from the 78 and eliminate all the hinges for the 85 hood its alot easier doing this swap than the otherway

Re: front clip swap

It looks like a really cool mod. There is another member on here that did the same thing with his 86 SWB.
