should i go with 4 speed manual or a 700r4
i have a 87 chevy 1/2 ton with tbi 350 and a turbo 350 trans and for some reason its out and i can get a full parts truck with a four speed and a 205 transfer case or i can get a 90 1/2 ton that has a 700r4 but i would have to find a 208 transfer case i will have to have new driveshafts made anyway i am getting this pickup from my granpa and i can get both the parts trucks free out of a pasture and i need something to drive any help is appreachiated

Pull your tranny and see what's broke, might save you a lot of work and headache. Might not.

Keep the NP205. It's stronger than the NP208. Add a 700R4, best of both combos!

well you need a adaptor to put a 205 on a 700r4 and the th350 would be same gearing as the 4 speed manual plus another gear
