Re: rad hoses

Hey Robert

I have had similar problems in the past. I went to Advanced and Auto Zone and explained my problem and they let me look through their stock behind the counter. If they are not busy they will help find something that fits. Just a thought.

Re: rad hoses

The other alternative is to have a radiator shop put the inlet and outlet on the radiator to match the engine. I did that on mine years ago and it made things a lot easier. A good radiator guy can do it in a few minutes.

Re: rad hoses

I had the problem when building my 53 and now with my 59. I bought the spectre stainless hose kit. Comes with adapters to fit any rad.

Re: rad hoses

I bent up a couple of hangers to match the routing I wanted, measured the different end sizes and went down to NAPA. The counter guy took the wires, rummaged around for a few minutes and brought out half a dozen for me to choose from. Had to cut both down on one end but fit fine. Nice to have counter people that don't rely on the computer.
