TugBoat, A 1/10th Dually Story
I have taken these 2 Radio Controlled, little Chevy trucks and I am in the process of making a 4 dr dually.
. I soaked all the paint of in some degreaser. This is the frame I will be using and layed out with the drivetrain. It has a 2 spd transmission This what she looks like at the moment. Its still a work in progress. Any thoughts ? . |

This is awesome. I had a though when I saw the last picture before I saw you ask if we had any thoughts. My thought was "Camper". I started picturing it done and in motion across land and a camper on the back would make the Crew Cab look right off road.

1. Have you come across any dually builds on this site ? I have looked a little, but no duallies yet. 2. Any color combo's you might suggest, I've searched for images, most are one tone. I want green and white-ish or brown\tan with an off white possibly. 3. A full camper in the bed, over the roof , or a dual axled pull behind camper trailer ? |

Re: TugBoat, A 1/10th Dually Story
No dual wheel builds of any scale come to mind. Maybe the 73-87 4x4 pictures sticky (in 4 Whee & Off Road) would have some real ones to look at. I'm partial to '84 Light Saddle Poly. I had an '84 someone had added creme two-tone on the sides. I pictured it with a slide-in over the cab type camper to add to the off road aspect of a crew cab 4wd. But maybe a low-profile type (pop-up) would be even better.

Re: TugBoat, A 1/10th Dually Story
hey hey!
good to hear from ya again jeffro! been awhile crew dually looks dope, cant wait to see a vid of it in action, and ya, i agree with Tim, a camper on there would be the cats arse! and some cab lights, other than that- perfect. no need to clutter it up... dont want to mess up your thread, but here's a couple square duallys i have. got some other duallys, but there not squares, do have a '68 gmc dually coming up though yup, a camper sure would look sweeet on there... |

All these are dope!
If I've never monkeyed with RC cars before is it pretty easy to get into something like this? Last edited by Cannonfall; 11-21-2017 at 09:38 PM. Reason: Added question |
