Wider rearend
Not talking about women this time. My 1969 Panel the rear track narrower than front. I know thye made wider.Not sure what years Thinking 1970 and later.
What year was rears wider? While on it if know do they except stgeeper gears like 3.73 or 4.10

On the trucks the 67-69 were narrow and 70 was a transition year so you need to measure them to see what you have. 71/72 were wide.

My 83 C10 has a 89 G10 rear end so my 17x9 rims fit perfectly without spacers. The tires have a 1/2 inch from the edge of the bed.
My rims are basically the same offset as traditional 15's |

Sorry not sure how that effects question. I just want to know if its 70 or 71 that was wider. Wheel fitment has nothing to do with it just want wider track and have lots of room to move outward.
While on it do most truck have posi or is it rarer in trucks?

If you measure backing plate to backing plate on your rear end there is a thread on here that shows that measurement on the narrow and wider rear ends. Sorry I do not have it handy to share.
