OK I need a little HELP...

Im thinking of pulling the trigger on a 63 SWB. The truck is 2000 miles away. My problem is im a BIG dude. How much room is between the steering wheel and the seat? If I was to remove the gas tank would the seat move back any farther? I have wanted one of these trucks for years. I don't want to get it and feel like a sardine. Thanks in advance.

Yes moving the seat back helps and you can put a tilt column in with a smaller wheel unless you are 8 foot tall it will work .lol

OK, so how big are you?

I am 6'3" 300lbs, are you bigger?

removing the tank provides very little extra space but, you could change the seats to accommodate a little more...You!

I sit in my 65 with 2005 power 40/20/40 seats and I am comfortable.

Re: OK I need a little HELP...

I agree with Clyde. The room you'll gain by removing the tank is very marginal. Some people do shorten the columns a few inches and a change in seat design will help.

Re: OK I need a little HELP...

I need to find one I can sit in.I have a Ice Cream Truck business. I want to put a shop truck together with my business name on the side. I have a 66 Impala that I have owned since I was 15. It was in Super Chevy magazine at one time.
