Will a 88 gmc full size chaise fit under a 51 panel

Was wondering if any one knew if the width would be too wide. Or if any one has done it do they have any pix. I have the ability to pick up a 51 panel and have a 88 full size 2wd. I am not concerned with having to lengthen the chassis. Was wondering if it would be way too wide.

Check the width, frame should be OK, but track width is wide. You might be able to get away with deeper wheels. The 88 up wheels are already pulled in a bit.

S10 fits but is narrow front and rear, you need a different rear end and spacers in the front. I think you could swing the 88, even more so if you swapped to a Camaro rear end. I've looked at this for my 1 ton panel.

I have a rear end out of a 94 camero. I think that there is a 52 truck around the corner that i could get some measurements from. Is the width of the frame where i might run into some issues or is it more so the track width of the front?

both, the frame is wider and so is the track width.

Width isn't going to be your issue. The stock frame is 34" for a 1/2 ton but the 1 ton goes to 36". Most of the "new" frames narrow out anyway and the bed width is 50" between sides so that won't be a problem either.

Grab the Camaro rear end!

Here is some good info: http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com...resto/4959.htm
