Sent the truck to Grandma's...

I really didn't want to send it away, but I have a Camaro project that I want to finish before I start on the truck. I don't have room for it at my house and it's been sitting in the driveway covered with snow for the last month. After Christmas, the wife and I delivered it to Grandma's 3 car garage in New Mexico.

I gotta tell ya, pulling a full-size truck with a mid-size SUV over the Raton pass in the middle of winter was NOT fun. The Durango actually did pretty well though. I was surprised.

Hopefully, I'll be picking the truck up later this summer to start it's transformation.

It's good you have a place to store it while you finish your other project. Heck just driving over Ratan in the winter without towing anything is an experience!

Re: Sent the truck to Grandma's...

At least you have a place to put that truck under cover. My dd sits out side while the old '72 sits in the garage. It already has enough rust, I don't want to add to it...

Re: Sent the truck to Grandma's...

i towed my 1500lb pound open trailer with a long tounge, low profile open center, with a durango and that thing handled horrible, and it had a factory tow package, so i understand how you feel, personally i prefer my full size pickups to tow with, both my dads 73, my 77, and my bros 86 all tow nicely no matter what we have on the trailer.

What suprised me was when my trailer is empty, its more of a stabalizer bar than a trailer becuase of how light it is.
