I am fixing to go salvage hunting for a 3.73 geared rear axle and hopefully find one with posi-trac. Where can I find the rpo codes so that I don't have to crawl underneath the truck to assertain the specifications of the rear axle.

in the glove box on the SPID label.
The problem is, most trucks didn't recieve optional gearing... inlines an d small blocks with 3 speed trannys are most likely to have the 3.73.
The posi would be listed in the glove box too.
