72 suburban underdash AC wiring?

Does anyone know how different the underdash AC wiring harness differs from a pickup? Do they sell this animal new? Getting ready to order another batch of parts.

Do you have the rear AC unit? If so it is different.

Yes, 72 factory front dash air and stock rear ac unit. Do you think they sell a new underdash harness? My title makes it look like I have underdash air (aftermarket or dealer installed). Mine is the stock full front and rear air and I am planning to have it working soon!!

Talking Re: 72 suburban underdash AC wiring?

I looked the Burb under dash harness over very carefully that we have and it looks like the rear AC wiring is an add-on harness to the normal AC harness. It is like a power wire extension that routes to the rear AC control switch.

I took a picture of the "extension" and am attaching it. The picture quality is lacking somewhat but you can see the "extension". If the harness is not available then one could be made up easily. The "extension" harness is fused and connects directly to the orange power wire for the AC high speed power feed.

The "extension" harness has a separate pigtail that plugs into the fuse panel supplying power for both front and rear AC units.
