2 inch spindles on EBAY

http://www.ebay.com/itm/221025074771

These say they are not compatible with a 1987 GMC R1500, why is that , they are for 73-86 1/2 ton with 1 inch thick rotors.

Re: 2 inch spindles on EBAY

Maybe you couldn't get light duty brakes in 87? Measure your rotor thickness before you buy, both 1.25 and 1.00 were available. Jay

Re: 2 inch spindles on EBAY

87 spindles are the same as 86 and earlier spindles. Look at the bottom of his ad, it even states 73-87.

If you want further, go to Summit and look up other brands of spindles and you'll see they are also 73-87 fitments.

Re: 2 inch spindles on EBAY

I always figured they were the same. When that popped up said they were not compatible , I said, whow, I don't want to get strapped with these and not fit. Was thinking maybe the holes for the tie rods or ball joints might have been different. I'm going to go ahead and order them. I'm going to put the stock springs back in with these spindles. I guess I will sell the 2 in lowering springs

Re: 2 inch spindles on EBAY

Probably just forgot to add 87 at the beginning because in 87 they were R/V instead of C/K. Throws people off.
