Decided its time to start on the 72

First off I'm new, but been checking out this page for the past couple weeks tho. A lot of nice trucks on here an everyone is always helpful. Now that I registered I wanna post some pics of my project that I'm starting. It's a 1972 C10 my dads the original owner. He bought it brand new. I drove it for about 4 years back when I got my license in 1991. It didn't have the camper on when I had it. He put a new GM 350 crate motor in 1990 an a new th350 tranny in 1993. It's been parked an sitting since 1999 when the brake booster went out. He had a newer truck so he put this one aside. It ran pretty well when that happened. We tried starting it a few weeks ago but nothing.... So now the fun begins. Once I get it going an the brakes fixed OFF comes the camper an that ugly back bumper then lower her with a 4/6 drop on some 15 inch rallies or plain steelies painted black an cruise it with that original paint it has. I'm going for the Patina look while I work on her.

Hey welcome to the board the truck looks like a good starting point and it's cool that you're keeping it in the family. We have quite a few members in the Northern California area that are always willing to lend a hand, figuratively and literally, what part of the North are you in if you don't mind me asking.

I stay out in Los Banos..... I'm eager to get my truck running an on the road again. My pops almost sold it last year but I talked him out of doing it. I wanna fix it up so we can drive it an enjoy it again. Later down the road me an my son who's only 3 will enjoy what me an my dad did.

Here's another angle. I got the original tailgate that's in good condition in the camper plus the original back window. My pops put a slider on it for access thru the camper slider. I'm missing 1 of the original hubcaps. I got the other 3 I just gotta look better.
