L6 250/292 A/c bracket

I stopped in one of my local scrap yards the other day and came up with this hoard of parts , I found the stock A/C bracket / 2 groove pulley on a 67 Biscayne 4 door the power steering was already gone the 2 Chevrolet Script valve covers came from a 66 Chevelle 4 door and the 67 Biscayne .Sway bar off a long bed frame

Total cost $50.00

http://

After some clean up in my glass bead cabinet the valve covers will look great !

http://

I looked on ebay and there was one A/C bracket listed for $350.00 and the 3 shims for $40.00 from the same seller .

Looks like you did good! Just proves that stuff is still around if you go out and beat the bushes..... I just picked up a '77 Van tilt and a pretty nice '69-'70 grille surround yesterday morning.

Re: L6 250/292 A/c bracket

I looked for that A/C bracket for 2 years ,It will be going on my 292 I just bolted it to the 250 engine so it didn't get lost in the shop . I have a stack of parts 5' high sitting next to my blast cabinet waiting to be cleaned

"Just proves that stuff is still around if you go out and beat the bushes" Around here everythings already starting to turn green , once the leaves and thorns come in a lot of this stuff will be buried until fall again !

Today it will be 70 and then snow all weekend long ?

Thumbs up Re: L6 250/292 A/c bracket

A lot of the small block and 6 cylinder motor parts inter change off of cars and trucks. Most people get hung up on the truck only parts and walk right by a car with the same part on it. If you need a good alternator bracket any small block Chevy car from the 60's will have the same brackets as our trucks.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: L6 250/292 A/c bracket

That is a rare find!
You and I would get along great!
I go to the U-Pull-It so often that they seldom charge me to get in.They know I'm going to buy something!I also go to estate sales.
I have many GM brackets and pulleys in my pile.Including the one you found.
And,an NOS power steering bracket for a 250 six.
I blast parts just about everyday and will never catch up!
