Hard Question about Automatic Transmission Mounts

I have a '68 C10 with a 396/TH400... and I'm trying to replace my tranny mount. I've ordered and recieved part number 34-0364 from LMCtruck, but the center to center dimension where the mount bolts to the tailhousing is too small! There are only two part numbers listed on lmc for the year range, one for the th350 and the other for the th400.

I don't mind re-drilling the crossmember for a bad fit, but slotting the plate that bolts to tailhousing is pretty sketchy.

Anyone have any information on there being multiple bolt centers? I can get some pictures if I need to...

Thanks everybody!

Re: Hard Question about Automatic Transmission Mounts

If you take the old one to aparts store they can match it up. There also is a universal one that has slotted holes to fit any application. I believe its the 400 that has the widest spaceing.

Re: Hard Question about Automatic Transmission Mounts

Thanks for the help guys... I ended up slotting it with my flat bastard!

it's probably a th350 mount after looking at a few more pictures. I just cut the slots and put some big ole washers on top of them. if the transmission starts to pull UP, I'm in big trouble anyway.
