140A mig welding c notch advice needed

Looking to put in my c notch on my 70 c10, and looking for advice from those who've done it with either my machine (everlast imig 140e) or similar machines. It's been a while since I've welded so obviously I plan on getting a fair bit of practice in before I actually go for it. But was hoping some of you guys might have some advice or recommendations on settings and wire gauge. Any advice is appreciated...

Does the welder have a setting chart on it?..itll depend on the metal thickness ....then fine tune it from there..
