Front seal wnet out today

in my 70...I have it torn down to the timing chain and it's in good shape. Bought a new balancer as mine was a wobbler from hell.

My questions are many but if someone could walk me through getting everything back together I'd appreciate it. I have a friend I can call tomorrow,
but he's going to be very busy fixing his own truck and working, so I feel bad bothering him.

I've helped replace a timing chain once two years ago, but the details of how we did everything are foggy....dang CRS....

After I replace the seal and the timing chain cover and gasket, I get the balancer back on. I know about heating it up in the oven, but after that it gets hazy.

If anyone can help, I'd sure appreciate it!

Re: Front seal wnet out today

They make a tool for installing the hb, should be able to rent (or borrow) from a chain parts store. I couldn't use it on mine, cuz my crank bolt threads are gone, guess the po didn't know about the tool
