Question 2nd Gen Camaro spindles for Lowering?

A friend of mine told me that second Generation front spindles would fit my 67 and drop it 2 or so inches. It required enlarging either a tie rod hole or ball joint hole. Has anyone ever tried this or should I be looking into the search button further? I read the "cutting the springs" thread last night and it got me to thinking about doing just a little of both to get it down and not be uncomfortable to drive around my bumpy town and nearby highways.

I have heard that before but keep in mind that the wholes are tapered and you will need a taperd reamer or some other way to make the whole larger.... I just cut my springs and the snubbers on mine.rides good.... i put a pair of drop control arms on for a guy. that is the way to go IMO it road great and set lowwwwwww

Re: 2nd Gen Camaro spindles for Lowering?

i tried this, i own a 76 firebird..and yes with a taper balljoint reamer they would fit, but they dont have the stops like the truck spindles do.....also i beleive the bearings are diffrent, so you'ld have to run a second gen. rotor ( this means converting from a 5on5 bolt pattern to a 5 on 4 3/4)
IMO just buy a set of 2.5 drop spindles for your truck for about 250 shipped..

I am just checking out possibilities right now. It is more crooked than a dogs hind leg in all facets right now but I would like to get it settled into a nice driving truck untill I can unleash some funds on it. Thanks.
