Cut down 4x4 cab bushings for use in 2WD??

I got NEW cab mount bushings with a cab that I bought for my 2WD step. They are for a 4x4 mount, but I just cut the difference out of the back 2 bushings (about "1) and bolted it up.

It looks to sit right, and the bushings turned out great. Cab looks level, even and square on the frame.....but....

I havent mounted core support, fenders or bed yet to check it for fit.

Am I on the right track? will these work like this?

thanks

As long as the new bushings are the same height as the ones coming off you should be fine.
