Re: Old Air products

I have an Old Air products A/10 compressor in my truck....I love it! It is the upgrade to the factory A/6 and bolts to all of the OEM brackets. I do not know about their complete systems, but I am impressed with their replacement compressor.

I've had OLD AIR since 1998 and still works good in 100 plus temps.

Re: Old Air products

I have Old Air and my Dad has it too. Works great. I live about 10 miles from their sales office if it helps.

Re: Old Air products

i just installed a complete old air system. it works good. no complaints on its operation.

the instructions should be used a guide. they are not exactly accurate.

Re: Old Air products

I have been running a air/heat/deforst unit for 5 yrs and have not had a problem. Told them I wanted to use a bulkhead fitting and they set the unit up with all the connections coming out the side of the unit. I also bought a brand new set of '72 controls from them.

My compressor was $365 shipped to my door. I bought it direct from Old Air on ebay. This is the same compressor Brothers, LMC, etc sell for $400. It is a NEW unit, not remanufactured. After going through 4 rebuilt A/6's, this is the only way to go IMO. It is all aluminum, and more efficient. I converted to R-134 also. My A/C is all factory, other than the compressor upgrade. I am in 100 + temps and it keeps me nice and cool.

Anyone using this one, I like the look of the new control panel.

I got mine from Brother's, they had them on sale for $899. Might still be that price if you look.

This thread's a little old, but any chance you have a picture of how far under ther dash the unit sits? The bulkhead style looks pretty nice.
