Question 71 cig lighter wire ???

The red lead from the fuse panel that goes to the lighter has another red wire that splits a few inches from the panel. Where does the second wire go?

Thanks
HG

Isn't it a feed for anything else you want to use it for? There should be a plug attached, (Like a male/female).

If I remember correctly, the stock radio plugged into that.

Thanks alot, I kind of thought it may be a radio feed, but just couldn't remember. Thats the problem with letting a project sit too long.

Is it a green wire?
My Longhorn has a red and green wire bonded together, the green one is for the light on the lighter, while the red one heats it up.

Your lighter has a light on it? I've never seen that. But no, the wire is red and I have my doubts now about it being for the radio because it's always hot and radio feeds are usually on with the ignition switch.

There was an lighted cig lighter, I've seen it stock once, but not all that common. The standard lighter has the single red wire as described. I still want to say it's the radio feed but maybe not. Is there a radio spade on the fuse box?
