I was looking at that the other night. Doesn't look like too bad of a truck...

Re: 72 gmc BB truck

Not a bad price, but I'm thinking. $2500. can't be a firm asking price. You may need to trailer it home, or risk locking up the rearend, if it really is howling.

Interesting SPID. After reading the post about GMC Sierra Grande vs Cheyenne. I thought the Cheyenne option was a Chevy option, but the GMC was called the Sierra option.

The vin number on the truck's SPID, does indicate that it is a GMC.
It lists the engine as a 400 cu. in. Could that have been a SBC and not the Big Block?

Personally, I wouldn't buy it...... cause ....... I already have a Ochre and white '72 3/4 GMC

Re: 72 gmc BB truck

there were no 400 small block in 67 - 72 trucks at all. They weren't installed in trucks till 73 IIRC. that designates the 402. The person typing out the SPID would many times put GMC trucks in chevy names on the SPIDs.
