How to run transmission cooler lines
Does anyone have any picture on how they ran their transmission cooler lines? The pre-bent ones I bought are too close to my headers - think they'll get too hot? Still need to install starter also. Search the threads couldn't find anything.

tranny lines run right next to the oil pan , block seam

Honestly, if they are not touching or rubbing, you're fine. It might be too hot for you to touch but if there is a gap between the tube and the headers, there will not be a lot of heat transfer. The fluid in the tranny will be hotter then what heat will transfer from the headers.

I agree with cdowns ... there should be a clip that attaches to one of the oil pan bolts that holds the lines.

Yeah, I'm going to try and run them closer to it. Anyone know where I can get a transmission dipstick that will work for our trucks? Napa, autozone, A-line auto parts does not carry local. What year do I need to ask for when ordering one?
