Picked up my first C10

Just picked up my first C10. It's rough but runs decent. It has 396 badges on the side. I cannot read the tag on glovebox do to someone covering it in masking tape years ago. Having a really hard time removing the tape without destroying the sticker. I will post more pictures this weekend.

Re: Picked up my first C10

I need to replace the metal bed floor. I see that the bed floor is bolted on the sides and the front of the bed. But how is attached on the rear? I have been looking at this truck for seven years before the owner decided to sell it to me.

The rear has a small spot weld on each side by the stake pocket support. Cut or grind the spot welds. Everything else is bolted.

Re: Picked up my first C10

Very nice truck, and a big block to I like it. On the tape over the spid. You might try taking the lid off and putting it in the freezer, some adhesives will brittle and let go. I would not use water.

Re: Picked up my first C10

Nice truck, Great find when you go to take the bedside off the floor, a little tip, don't loosen the bedside attaching bolts. Tighten them that way they will snap right off so easy with very little effort and resistance. There are several places to find a new steel floor out there now, of course it could also be changed over to a wood floor bed as well. Love them big blocks, as long as you don't have to feed them.
