Newbie/Intro 1977 C 10

I didn't find a newbie spot, mods can move this if there is one.

Just joined here, I have a 77 Chebby C 10. It's a longbox, stepside model that runs and drives quite well. Dented rear fenders need repair and the hood has the usual "hood spring" problem.

Got it cheap, $1000 because it had a cracked head. Found a set of rebuilt heads on CL for a hundy, installed them and the truck has been good to me.

I'm also into Pontiacs and use the same screen name over at the Performance Years message boards. The PY board uses the same functions as here, so that helps me.

Take care,
Greg

Sweet. Can you take a straight side pic so I can see the long bed stepside? I always like the long bed stepside. I was thinking if I ever need to replace my bed I might go with a long step side. Thx.

Nice buy. I'm on the PY forums as well with this same username. Currently restoring a 1970 GTO.

Re: Newbie/Intro 1977 C 10

Thanks for the welcome and nice to see another PY'er here. I have '70 and '64 GP's. Also a 455 that needs assembly. I think about putting it in the truck, but the 350 still has oil pressure.

It's a good truck for dragging parts home from the junkyard.

Take care,
Greg

Re: Newbie/Intro 1977 C 10

Thanks for all the kind words. Finally got the side shot that someone wanted to see. I have the fenders, since both are bashed in. I'd like to keep the side marker ones.

Original color, seems to be root beer or Dr. Pepper can maroon/brown. I guess the visor stays, as it plugs some holes for now.

Take care,
Greg
