Talking Advice for removing/replacing RAD support grommets

Have a kit coming soon to replace on the RAD support. My truck is not apart so here's my question. Will I have to have something holding the support up so it doesnt drop when I remove the grommet, or so I can remove/replace the grommets and washers??

BTW..Worked 2 hrs on one inner fender bolt today below the battery. Used grinder, air wrench, PB juice, finally got it with air chisel. Even broke to titanium bits trying to drill through. LOL Anyway...Thanks!!!

Grommet? Where is it? Nothing up front is heavy enough to be concerned about falling.

For those rusty bolts mix acetone and ATF (auto trans fluid) 50/50 and put it in a oil can so you can squirt it. Best bet is to squirt every bolt the day before you attack it with wrenches.

Another huge help is an air impact wrench but it will require a good sized compressor. The impact wrench will simply twist the head off bolts that don't want to move.

A floor jack and a wood 4x4 block of some sort helps a lot. Jack it up until the slack is out then remove the bolts before you jack it up any farther make double barrel sure that you have some help with you if only it is a small child or some body just to watch fender gaps against the doors and the fan and shroud. If you have much trouble gaining access in there to replace the bushings you may have to back up take a breath then loosen the front bolts that hold the cap to the truck and those points would be at the fender mounts and the inner fender bolts to the cab so that things could move more freely but that is an extreme case last resort one in a million type deal. In most all cases you should be able to just take out the bolts jack up enough to replace the bushings and then put it back down. Did you look at your cab mounts while your at this? most of the time it would be the perfect time to do this as well and then you can do one side at a time and not worry about any gap shiftings. Take the driver side loose replace all the bushing at once with the jack under the front part of the cab. Lift that side place them let it down start all the bolts do the other side same way let it down then tighten them all up and done. Jim

So put the jack under the RAD support? Jack up till it just touches the support. Loosen the bolts. Take them out then jack up enough to put in new ones. Start nuts on and hand tighten. Let down and finish tightening??? Is that right?
PS- my shroud is out...my inner wells are off, so hopefully I wont have to do any loosening.

Also, where do I put the jack to replace the cab mounts??
